/ PATIENT'S STORIES - AARON
Aron
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Aron is a beloved family dog and a favorite in his neighborhood. He is the best friend and “younger brother” to two girls, Tosya (14) and Ali (9).

On December 12, 2025, Aron was hit by a car and sustained multiple traumatic injuries to all paws, as well as to his chest, groin, and jaw. Despite the severity of his wounds, Aron has shown remarkable resilience and a strong will to recover throughout the treatment process. His injuries were initially managed with open wound care, followed by several surgical revisions, including debridement, suturing, and the application of advanced dressings. Some areas required reconstructive techniques.
From multiple wounds, the management of the wound on the hind limb was the most challenging. An extensive area of necrosis developed in the region of the right hind leg knee joint and was removed on 18 February. The wound was partially closed at the edges using superficial skin sutures, and anchoring sutures were placed around the wound. These were used to secure the Ravimus Vet wound dressing using a tie-over technique.

Tie-over bandaging
On 23 February, five days later, the tie-over bandage was removed from the right hind leg knee area. The wound was smaller and showed good granulation. V-plasty was performed to reduce tension in the knee region. The wounds were sutured.

After reconstructive surgery
Aron’s condition showed clear improvement by March 2026, with progressive wound healing observed during ongoing treatment and monitoring. By May 2026, he was close to full recovery and able to enjoy his everyday activities.
