Liinu’s story
Liinu is a Tori mare who will soon turn 20. She was born on her owner’s family farm as its first foal. Liinu was later sold, but when her current owner saw her advertised years later, she did not hesitate to bring her home for a peaceful retirement.

On 21 June, Liinu was taken to an equine reproductive clinic to find out whether she was pregnant. During the journey, the rotten floor of a borrowed horse trailer gave way. Liinu’s right hind leg went through the floor and hit the asphalt, causing a serious wound extending to the joint.

Liinu was immediately taken to the equine clinic at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, where she received veterinary care. There, her owner first learned about RavimusVet wound dressings, which were recommended for use during every bandage change.

Liinu is slowly recovering and remains on stall rest. Other wound dressings have also been used, but her owner noticed better progress while using RavimusVet and decided to continue with it.
The visit to the reproductive clinic also brought some wonderful news. After several years of unsuccessful attempts by her previous owners, Liinu was confirmed to be pregnant.
Her family is now caring for both Liinu and the little foal expected in approximately nine months.
