The wound dressing is designed to prevent infection and promote wound closure.
RAVIMUSVET is an advanced sterile wound dressing in which wound contact layer is made of natural silk nanofibers containing synergistic antibacterial nanoparticles. The absorbent layer provides proper moist wound environment and is made from eco-friendly cellulose foam.

SCIENCE & CLINICAL EVIDENCE

RavimusVet is based on scientifically proven wound care technology developed by scientists and medical doctors following 20 years of research at the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics in Estonia.
Safety & efficacy of antibacterial dressings

*In vitro cytotoxicity testing demonstrates that RavimusVet wound dressing is less toxic to human cells compared to other antibacterial dressings.
**A quantitative log reduction assay in vitro with bacterial suspension demonstrated that RavimusVet wound dressing has the highest antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.
Clinical validation
A randomized controlled trial at the North Estonian Medical Centre included 30 patients with diabetic foot ulcers. Patients were split into two groups: Group 1 received silver-based wound dressings, while Group 2 used Nanordica human advanced antibacterial dressings. Both groups were treated for 1 week with 3 dressing changes.
The study monitored wound surface area and other parameters. Results showed that wounds treated with Nanordica human dressings healed nearly twice as fast as those treated with silver-based dressings, confirming the effectiveness of the Nanordica technology.

Nanordica technology improves wound healing considerably after already 1 week of treatment.

ABOUT US
Many of the scientists at Nanordica have pets themselves and understand how difficult it is to see an injured animal suffer. Therefore, they developed a wound dressing designed to support faster healing while minimizing additional trauma during treatment.
